What is Ares?
ARES or Automated Reserves is a repository for class readings and visual aids. All items have been vetted for copyright compliance prior to being made available to students.
When you first click on the Course Readings link in BlackBoard you enter the Automated Course Reserves (ARES) site.
- Select an item from the reading list by clicking on the title.
- Click View this item. A link to the article, or, alternately the pdf can then be viewed.
- If the list is long and you wish to choose specific weeks to display, click on the tag and only those items with the same tag will be displayed. For instance, when you click on Week 1, only items from week 1 will be displayed.
In the Course Details section, you have the option of subscribing to email notifications by entering your email address.
- Once an item is processed and made available, you will receive an email.
You also can create a hot list of readings that you will use often or are of particular interest to you. This provides easy access to those specific items.
