Library during COVID-19

Although the physical space of the JIBC Library is closed, you can still get help via email or AskAway.

We continue to provide support to students, staff and faculty via email. Messages will be checked throughout the day.

In addition, the AskAway virtual chat reference service (instant messaging with a librarian) is available (and includes weekends and evenings).

Equipment lending has been suspended (including laptops).

Books and DVDs:  Don't worry about returning your books and DVDs until our Library re-opens.  NO LATE FEES WILL APPLY.

SEARCH ME to find eResources such as eBooks, journal articles, streaming media, case law & legislation and more!.

Off-campus access to eResources requires:

AskAway is staffed by librarians from post-secondary institutions in B.C. When you start an AskAway session, a librarian will chat with you in real-time. 

Regular hours for AskAway: 
Mon - Thurs: 9 am-9 pm
Friday:  9 am - 5 pm 
Saturday:  11 am - 5 pm
Sunday:  10 am - 9 pm
