My Library Account (Catalogue): How to Review, Renew, Request Items

My Account

My Account consists of a User ID and PIN.

  • This is a specific User ID and PIN to our Library's lending system.
  • This User ID and PIN is NOT the same as the Username/Password for off-campus
  • access to eResources.

Review or Renew Items

When you are in the online catalogue, click on My Account in the top row.

You will see that you can Review My Account or Renew My Materials.

As soon as you click on either option, you will be prompted to sign in with your User ID and PIN.

Review My Account:

Once you sign into Review My Account you can:

  • Select Review My Account
    • Obtain the status of your checkouts and requests.
  • Select Renew My Materials
    • Select the item you wish to renew and click Renew Selected Items.
    • You will be advised if your item is not eligible for renewal (already renewed or item has a Hold on it by another borrower).
  • User PIN Change
    • Enter your new PIN and click Change PIN.

  • If you chose Review My Account, you will now see your account status:
    • Checkouts
    • Requests

Renew My Materials:
  • A list of items you currently have checked out are displayed.
  • You are advised if your items are eligible for renewal.
  • Select those items you wish to renew.
  • Click Renew Selected Items.

Request Items

Registered borrowers can place Requests on most items in our Library's online catalogue. 

  • Items that are exempt from this service are DVDs, Reference and Reserves.

On the results page, locate the item you wish to borrow and click on Request Item.

  • You will be prompted to enter your User ID and PIN.
  • This is a specific User ID and PIN to our Library's lending system.

When placing a Request, you can specify:

  • If you would like to pick the item up at our Library.
  • If you would like the item mailed to you via Canada Post. 

If the item is currently checked out, your name will be placed in the queue.

  • Once the item is available, it will either be mailed to you, or you will be advised that it is ready for pick up.

To check the status of your items (requests, checkouts) or renew you materials, please visit My Account.
