Submission Guidelines

The Vault showcases JIBC faculty scholarship.

Process:

  1. Author (and co-authors if applicable) reads and signs JIBC's non-exclusive license, which:
    • warrants that you are the copyright owner and have permission to submit your work to The Vault
    • attests that the work does not contain material that is libelous, unlawful or violates anyone's right to privacy
    • grants JIBC permission to make the work available freely and unaltered and that you receive appropriate acknowledgement
    • allows JIBC Library to migrate the work to a different format, should technology change
  2. Author sends the signed non-exclusive license and the work to be submitted to library@jibc.ca
  3. The submission to The Vault is reviewed by the Library (for author eligibility, content layout and format) and metadata added to make your work more discoverable in search engines.

JIBC licenses (Submission agreements)

JIBC Library needs your permission to add your work to The Vault.

When you submit your work, you will be required to read, sign and return to the Library a non-exclusive license which gives JIBC Library permission to make a copy of your work openly-accessible to the public through The Vault, in perpetuity. People will be able to use your work for non-commercial purposes as long as they provide appropriate acknowledgment and do not alter the work in any way.

This license does not transfer the copyright for the work to JIBC Library.
