Library Space

Learn how to use computers, printers, and study rooms at the Library at different JIBC campuses.

About the Library

Library services like computers, printers, and study rooms are available through the Student Commons at the John Horgan Campus in Langford.

JIBC students at the Langford Campus can still access online resources and get virtual help from a librarian for research and citation support.

Study Rooms

JIBC students can book a study room through JIBC admin staff at the Langford campus (4th floor).

Printing & Computers

Computers

The Student Commons has two public-use laptops. JIBC students can borrow these laptops and use them with a guest login provided by the Student Commons staff.

Printing

JIBC students will receive a print account (JHC Papercut) username and temporary password; this username is different from your JIBC Library or Blackboard login. Students can use the printer/copier in Room 122.

How to Print

  1. Walk up to a printer/copier

  2. Enter your JHC Papercut username and passphrase to unlock the machine (or tap your card/fob if you’ve set it up already)

  3. Choose ‘Copy’

Wi-Fi

There is free wi-fi available on campus.

Guest Access

Use the Westshore-Guest network and agree to the terms and conditions. You do not need to enter a username or password.

Current Students

You must have an active JIBC institutional account to use this wi-fi.

Use the Westshore-Secure network and enter your usual institutional login (@jibc.ca).

Eduroam

If you have an Eduroam account you can connect to this network. Note that JIBC is not part of the Eduroam community.
