About the Library

At the New Westminster Library you can book study rooms, load your print card, and use our computers.

You can borrow books and DVDs for up to 4 weeks, and access research and APA support.

Computers and Printing

Study Rooms

You can book a study room to use for up to 2 hours at a time. You can only book a room to use within the same week.

To book a study room, contact us at 604.528.5599, library@jibc.ca, or by visiting us in person.

We have 3 group study rooms, 1 silent study room (non-bookable), and 1 private study booth (bookable during library hours).

 

Printing

Purchase or re-load a print card at the front desk.

  • Cash only
  • $1 deposit on card
  • 10 cents per page for black and white; 50 cents per page for colour

 

Computers

Use our desktop computers for research, assignment work, or to print. Login using your JIBC credentials.

Borrowing

Books and DVDs

JIBC students and eligible public safety personnel can borrow print books and DVDs for four week loans.

 

Free mailing service

Use our free mailing service to have books and DVDs mailed to your home or office if you are unable to come to our New Westminster campus for pickup or drop off.

 

Textbooks

Most course textbooks are marked Reserve or Reference. These books cannot be taken outside the library. To learn more about finding and using textbooks see our Textbook Rental & Purchase page.
