Privacy

RefWorks is hosted on a U.S. server

  • The first time you create or access your account, you will be asked to consent to the ProQuest privacy policy
  • If you do not agree, you will not be able to access RefWorks

RefWorks by ProQuest is stored on servers outside of Canada.  While ProQuest adheres to its privacy policy (https://about.proquest.com/about/privacy-home.html), JIBC cannot guarantee security of your private details on servers outside of Canada.  As such, you may wish to use a pseudonym and non-identifiable email address when using RefWorks.

  • Format citations and bibliographies in seconds
  • Connect to your RefWorks account anywhere there's web access
  • Share your citations with other RefWorks users

To access RefWorks

 

  • Enter your JIBC credentials (Username and Password)
  • At this point, you will be asked to either Log in OR Create an account

To log in ...

To Log in
  • Click on Log in and enter your email address.

To Create an account
  • Enter your email address. This can be Gmail, Shaw, Telus, etc.
  • Click Consent in order to proceed.

  • Enter all required fields and click Next

  • Once you finish creating an account, you will receive a confirmation email from RefWorks.

NOTE: 
You were not asked to create a password. At the beginning of this process you entered your student number and password. This is the password assigned to RefWorks.
