Quick Tips

  • Italicize book titles
  • Use sentence case - only capitalize the first word of the title, the first word of the sub-title, and proper nouns
  • Include publisher name, not location
  • If DOI exists, it follows publisher name
  • If eBook with no DOI, provide publisher name and URL
  • If eBook from Library database (and, no DOI) treat as a print book
  • Do not note format (e.g. book, ebook, audiobook) if the content is the same 
    • If the content is different, note the format in the title element. 
  • If no page numbers in an eBook, use Chapter #
