Formatting Your Paper

APA Style is not only about writing references, it also includes formatting instructions for your paper. Following APA Style formatting gives your paper a professional polish and shows you can be attentive to details.

Most APA Style formatting is the same as your word processor default. It can be useful to check your default settings like font style and size, indentation, and margins, to make sure these match APA Style. This also means that when you go to write your next paper, you don't need to worry about formatting.
