RefWorks is a web-based citation management tool available for free to JIBC students.

RefWorks allows you to:

• Download, gather, and store references from library databases and Google Scholar
• Format citations and references lists in seconds
• Connect to your RefWorks account anywhere there's internet access
• Share your citations with other RefWorks users

Create a RefWorks Account

RefWorks is free. However, you will need to create an account the first time you access RefWorks.

To create your account:

• Open the RefWorks link below.
• Enter your JIBC Network Credentials.
• Create your RefWorks account.
  • Enter your email address. This does not have to be an institutional email.
  • On the next screen, enter the required fields. Click "Next".
• Once you have finished creating your account, you will receive a confirmation email from RefWorks.

You now have an active RefWorks account. Each time you click on the RefWorks link from the Library website you will login using your JIBC Network Credentials. RefWorks will then automatically log you into your RefWorks account.
