Do not use full sentences when searching a library database. Instead, break your research question into just the keywords or key concepts.
The database will try and find articles that contain all of your keywords/search terms.
What if you search for the term 'police' but an author uses the term 'law enforcement'?
To make sure you see articles with either term, brainstorm synonyms for your keywords.
